Clothes Swapping

So after having a massive cull of my clothes the other day I decided to hold a clothes swapping party with friends from work. As much as I don't mind giving clothes to charity, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to catch up and maybe I could get a few clothes back from the ones I was giving away (well payday was only a few days away but you never know what you might find!)

So with my bag of clothes, a lot of junk food - with some carrots and cucumber in there somewhere - and plenty of wine (oh and a batch of homemade gluten free cookies which I made - see recipe below) we were all set to check out what we had brought over and try anything on we liked the look of.

I managed to find a really lovely necklace, and a couple of my friends took a dress and a top. I do think we were a little shy when it came to going through each others clothes, even with the wine! We already decided to try again over lunch one day at work with just a few clothes - perhaps it was a little overwhelming and none of us had really been to a clothes swapping party before but it really was a lovely evening and I would highly recommend trying a clothes swapping party if you haven't already - you don't know what you might find :)

Cookie recipe:

Ingredients
Basing my recipe on BBC Good Food’s basic cookie recipe but adapting it slightly here is what I have:
225g butter
110g caster sugar
275g self raising gluten free flour
1 egg
1-2 rolos per cookie

Makes 15 cookies

Method:
Preheat oven to 190 degrees. Mix the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, sift the gluten free flour and mix. Add one egg, combine and add one tablespoon of the mixture onto greaseproof paper. Add one/two rolos per cookie and bake for 18mins or until golden brown.

Enjoy!!

    1. Thanks Ana! I think we are going to start doing clothes swapping lunches at work too. Sometimes it's nice to do something a little different and I wear my new necklace all the time :)
